Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.

Wow, what a shame. At least he died doing something he loved to do.

Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.

The same can be said for just about ANYTHING you buy now. Bicycles, trampolines, pools, frisbees, BB guns, cars, etc... Anything can be dangerous.

The same could be said for a baseball... or a bicycle... or a frisbee... or a bazillion other toys that are used safely the vast majority of the time.

Life's rough, get a helmet.

Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.

Pretty impressive flying, but i can see how a minor malfunction or mistake on the controls could send that thing flying at you like a pissed-off ninja! Seriously, just imagine what might've happened in the above clip if he'd done something like drop the controller as he was approaching that thing or tripped and fell on it.

Not gonna Google it, but i would imagine those blades spec out
really similar in strength and weight to a katana sword... fuuuuck!

Re: Death by R/C Helicopter.

Not remote control, radio control. I built my Trex 700 F3C, lovely flier. Changed to a Sab Goblin 500, not quite as big and scary. Great hobby but was never into 3D.
