Re: Death Pictures From Mount Everest
What probably is surreal are the surviving friends and families who see these. What do they possibly think??????? Talk about a fucked up closure? Non closure? knowing their loved one like Marko above, is RIGHT THERE - yet no one can do shit all about it. ever. I'd hate to know my loved ones had died up there and were passed by other climbers and seeing pics of them frozen for ever. It's fucked up. Really fucked up. |

Re: Death Pictures From Mount Everest
Not sure if these have ever been posted, or if anyone cares. This is my 1st attempt at posting something, so don't be too mean to me.. A brief bit of information: Mt. Everest has around 200 dead bodies on the mountain. It is nearly impossible for recovery of a body off the mountain. Most of the bodies are in the same exact position they were when they died. Perfectly preserved in time because of the cold. Along the route up to the summit climbers will pass all these bodies. There are bodies over 50 years old that look like they were placed there yesterday. The "death zone" is 26,000 feet. Air is so thin that there is no margin for error. Immediate frostbite will happen. Lack of oxygen leaves climber bewildered and weak. Cost for one to go on a trip is $25,000. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Re: Death Pictures From Mount Everest
What I always do before I post something is: If you go to search > advanced search, you can search on titles. I just did it and filled in Everest > http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...archid=1303063 So yup; repost. Cheers from Holland |
