Could the same not be said for military personnel? Doesn't mean to say they wanted to die that way. Wanting to die is an intention only held by those with no love for life. I find it hard to beleive that a person with no love of life would choose to climb the highest mountain in the world.

The guy in the third pic I believe is one of the first men who ever tried to climb the thing in modern time. Read it in a science magazine when I was like 10 years old, so I don't really have the facts up-to-date, but that picture I definitley remember!
