The Chinese people will not revolt as long as their economy is doing well and the middle class is on the rise. They will never give up any material comfort for the sake of political freedom.

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
I agree with you to an extent. Civil unrest in todays China is far more common than most know. The Chinese people are proud of their accomplishments, as well they should be, but they do have some issues that they are angry about. First and foremost they are fed up with the corruption in their government. Also, there is hardly a week that goes by, where a bridge or building doesn't collapse, because some ultra rich government official cut corners in building safety, in order to make more money. China is alot like the US was, during the days of the robber barons in the early 1900s. . While I don't foresee a revolution, I do see the possibility for a labor movement and a possible move towards more democracy and government accountability. Its a normal step for the country to evolve. The Chinese are a pragmatic people.

Sir, I believe you must understand that prevention is a key to success on the modern battlefield, and I couldn't agree with you more, if you'd ever like to "invest" in a select fire weapon, and be on the front lines of prevention of tyranny when it comes with me, just send me a message |

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
Surprisingly, one of the biggest supporters of this movement was the general in charge of the Communist Chinese troops in Korea in 1952 He said: "You are the Peoples Liberation Army!?!?! How can you attack your own citizens!?!?! This is what the people want, therefore it must be right! The Chinese government is run by criminals!" |
