Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
The goddamn truth of it is that its near impossible to buy anything from anywhere, and not support them socialist pieces of fucking shit. I just bought a new pair of Thorogood boots ($140) and they were made in China... I also bought two new scopes for Christmas (for myself |

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
You do know that China is just the manufacturer right? The big corporations "CHOOSE" to give manufacturing contracts to plants outside of North America knowing they are supporting greed and glorifying "Anything for a dollar" in the process. If the US was serious about keeping jobs in America, don't you think they would have taken steps make that happen by now? Big corporations don't care and they have huge pull on what bills are passed and only care about maximizing profits. Every government is corrupt, 1st world governments just do a much better job at playing everyone. If there are people you should be angry at or have disgust towards, it's the leaders of the corporations. You guys really need to understand how the global economy works before you blindly follow ignorant haters/racists. If you read up on history, not just the American civil war, you would know that shit like this needs to happen before corrupt/evil leaders are overthrown and power is restored to the people. I'm not hatin' on those who make ignorant comments. All it takes is some thinking for yourself. Don't just take things for face value. Educate yourself on subjects/news you don't understand. |

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
But everybody wants cheap, and cheap is done by getting shit made in China and importing it to the west. If everybody who complains about foreign/Chinese made shit went and sought out products made in their own country, that would be the start of something big. |

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
Exactly. The solution will almost always start with the citizens. We have power in numbers. In this age of buy and dispose, being extremely wasteful is part of our culture. Just think of the most trivial of things like buying a cup of coffee and throwing the cup away. It applies to music and movies as well. They just try to pump that shit out so fast that the quality is much lower than before. Basically, the culture needs to change. If consumers bitch about "those damn Asians taking all our jobs", I'd tell them to redirect that ignorant anger towards the companies that are GIVING those jobs away overseas. You need to understand that corporations aren't satisfied with a 500% markup, they want 1000% or more. Stop buying from companies that make their shit overseas or buy from local farms if you have such a big problem with Asians. I understand that with financial constraints, buying more expensive locally made products won't be possible. There is no quick fix. Just try to understand things are never black and white. Don't be so quick to judge, ridicule or pick sides. If you're born into poverty and life is a real battle, I can understand one's ignorance. If you're somewhat educated, you should know better. Sorry for the long rant. It's just frustrating when people are OK with not understanding the world they live in. Be curious, educate yourself. Don't just be fine with whatever people tell/show you. Question it....politely:) |

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
You're not really too wrong, it WAS the corporations decision to produce or manufacture products in China. That much is a fact, but I can't hate the people who make the jobs, that's just like wanting to add more taxes, add more taxes, and add more taxes because that's the answer to all our problems, if ONLY the rich would just give a little bit more we would all live in perfect harmony... In real life we should be glorifying the corporations that make the jobs we all need, and specifically (listen closely) SPECIFICALLY the ones who manufacture their stuff right here in the USA. Give tax BREAKS to company's who produce here in their native land... Therefore increasing their profit and giving incentives for other company's to follow their example and increase profit by manufacturing in their own land. Sorry if this was too off-topic, don't ban me for it I kinda think its on the topic of what everyone is talking about, that is buying chinese made stuff |

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
I love all you armchair political activists, seeing your CNN photos or photos provided by people decidedly not on the side of actual journalistic integrity. When any of you people can tell me you were personally IN China at the time of Tianenmen Square instead of drinking the goddamned Koolaid made by CNN and others, maybe anyone will actually listen to you. "Tankman was taken away and executed! Waah! There was a story of a girl who was ordered to leave the square within a certain time period by the PLA and she chose to stand next to that one statue in there until there very last second, and then a PLA soldier came along and slit her throat with his bayonet. You know what? Days later that same girl was seen on TV crying about how mean the soldiers were to the students and how many students had been killed. She sure looked dead in that brief interview on TV, didn't she, with all of her crying and screaming. Yup. Want to hear the story directly from the Chinese who was actually there when this all happened? https://www.dropbox.com/s/u7kxf39qew...0Story%201.mp4 If the PLA were so ready to wantonly murder people who disagreed/disobeyed, why didn't they roll over and crush or shoot Tankman? Why is he seen in the end being dragged away by two people? He was actively holding up a tank column who had orders they were supposed to complete and a timeframe in which to do them. If the Chinese government was so bloodthirsty to want to kill people at all costs to control the incident, why didn't anyone order that first tank to roll over or shoot Tankman? Why did they actively try to drive around him if they're all murdering bastards?! I could provide sooo many links to how much of this is bullshit and how many of the biggest protesters are now living free in Taiwan or Hong Kong without being in prison, without other consequences on them. One of them now runs a mundane TV talk show over in Taiwan. The only problem is all the most pertinent links are in Chinese text so none of you people (I'm assuming few Chinese speakers read this board) could read them. Mods, I certainly don't condone racist remarks against African Americans, Jewish people, and so on, but if it's not okay to make ignorant, racist remarks about those other groups, I request the same be said for Chinese. Either everybody plays fair or nobody plays at all. To the rest of you, until you can get someone to translate real Chinese websites for you and you have read all sides in this argument, I highly suggest you shut your ignorant mouths and go read. Stop sucking CNN's dick and get an opinion based on verifiable facts and stop calling anything/one that disagrees with you communist propaganda. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's not true. |

and THIS, for all you silly far left libs, is why we need our second amendment rights. we may not have as good of arms as our military but we can at least fight back with something better than rocks and bicycles.
