Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
What many people don't realize about China is just how weak she is. Her internal institutions are weak. China may appear strong but you can glean from the Chicom's response to Tiananmen Square that the situation could have gotten out of control. It can happen again. It will happen again. Probably sooner than we think.

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
The writing in Chinese beside the unfortunate chap hanging on the bus basically says" I killed four people" and then beside that it says "the people will win"

Re: The Bloody 1989 Tiananmen Square Masacre
I hope so too, it's my dream to see democracy in China in my lifetime, it may sound far-fetched, considering how half the world is bending backwards for China and its money, but look at how much things have changed in the 20-odd years I've been in this world, and I'm hopeful. |
