Man Beats Woman in Elevator: Igor Cabral Charged, Natal, Brazil, July 26, 2025
Igor Eduardo Pereira Cabral, a former basketball player known as Igor Cabral, beat his girlfriend inside a condominium elevator in Ponta Negra, Natal, Brazil, on July 26, 2025. Security footage shows him repeatedly punching her while she was on the floor, then standing over her as she stood in a corner with a bloodied face. Residents restrained him, and building security called military police. The woman suffered multiple fractures to her face and jaw, underwent reconstructive surgery and was discharged from the hospital on August 4, 2025. Cabral was held in preventive detention. A court accepted an attempted-femicide indictment on August 7, 2025, and the 1st Criminal Court of Natal subsequently ordered him to face a jury trial. On September 24, 2026, the Rio Grande do Norte Court of Justice unanimously rejected his appeal against that decision. He remained detained pending trial. |

Hope they lock him up in the tiniest cell they have and see how that supposed claustrophobia works out.   Wonder if she, after she is healed, going to visit him though. 29-year-old basketball player Igor Pereira lost his temper, believing that Juliana was showing affection to other men who were messaging her online. The young man attacked the girl in an elevator and delivered more than 50 blows to her face.
