Man Beats GF Bloody In Elevator

A 35-year-old woman was brutally assaulted by her boyfriend inside the elevator of her apartment building in Ponta Negra, in the South Zone of Natal . The man was arrested for attempted femicide. The crime took place last Saturday (26) around 4 pm and was recorded by the condominium's elevator camera. The video shows the couple arguing and, when the elevator door closes, the man goes after the victim and starts punching her.

You can see he throws at least 60 punches. The woman's face was completely bloodied. According to a friend of the victim—who asked to remain anonymous—the condominium security guard, who saw footage of the attack on the elevator's camera, called the Military Police. When the elevator reached the ground floor, the attacker was restrained by residents and subsequently arrested.

The victim was taken to Walfredo Gurgel Hospital, where it was determined she had multiple fractures to her face and jaw. She will undergo surgery later this week. The suspect underwent a custody hearing and was ordered to be held in preventive detention by the Rio Grande do Norte court. In his statement at the police station, the man claimed to suffer from claustrophobia.

According to the victim's friend, the argument started because the man had a fit of jealousy.
