A man being beaten by two attackers shot and critically wounded one of them on Commonwealth Avenue near Westchester Avenue in Soundview, the Bronx, shortly before 1 p.m. on July 14, 2025. The wounded man, 27, was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition.

Phone video shows the two men cornering the man against a wall and beating him while one records on a cellphone. When one attacker holds him from behind, the man fires a handgun over his shoulder, striking the attacker in the torso. He then fires toward the man filming, who runs away. The shooter walks past the wounded man and leaves. Police said on July 14 that no arrests had been made and the investigation was ongoing.

It's all fun and games 'til someone pulls out a concealed weapon. Then it's HILARIOUS.

Well done!

That bullet ripped through internal organs nicely!

That over the shoulder shot was impressive.

Doesn't that instantaneous posturing indicate something about where he was hit? Thought it usually meant death or brain damage or something but can't remember
