Brazil. A man identified as Rodrigo B. F, 40 years old, was shot dead inside a bar in the early hours of Saturday 7th.

According to the images, Rodrigo, known by the nickname "Cowboy," was at a pool table with other people when a man entered the room wearing a helmet, white shirt, and jeans.

The suspect walked directly to the group and, upon approaching, pulled out a gun and fired shots at the victim.

Rodrigo was shot in the head and died inside the bar, falling near the table where he had been sitting moments before. During the shooting, a woman who was next to the victim tried to stop the gunman, but ended up being shot in the neck.

The Military Police were called around 3:50 am and, upon arriving at the scene, found the man already without vital signs. The injured woman was assisted by a medical team and taken to the city's municipal hospital for treatment.

Cowboy, Rodrigo, was one of the targets of Operation Halosis, launched on Wednesday (11th) against members of a criminal faction investigated for a homicide in November of last year. However days before the police carried out the warrant, Cowboy Rodrigo was shot dead inside the pool bar.

He and other members of Comando Vermelho set up an organized structure to eliminate Belkior da Silva Lopes, 37, who was shot dead on November 27th of last year. At the time, according to reports, Belkior was riding his motorcycle through the neighborhood when a car with three occupants approached him.

After a brief argument, one of the men opened fire and shot Belkior, who was taken alive to the Hospital, but did not survive his injuries.

The motive for the crime is still a mystery, and with the arrest of those involved and the seizure of cell phones, the investigation should advance to clarify the case.

The three shooters were arrested a day after the crime, after intense searches by authorities carried out as part of Operation Snowball, which ultimately captured the trio in a residence in the municipality of Campos de Júlio. Along with the criminals, the police seized cell phones and narcotics.
