Omg...I get so sick of hearing people pull the “It’s because I’m black” card every time they get stopped for doing something wrong. You’re breaking the law. Although it is a stupid law imo, it is a law, and everyone is obligated to follow it. I could go on ranting about people playing the race card, but I don’t want to come off sounding like a racist. I’m the furthest thing from one, but I get tired of always hearing the “it’s because I’m this or that” excuse. If you weren’t breaking the law, the cop would have no reason to stop you in the first place. So follow the law like everyone else and stfu about color.

On the shooting, again, if you had handed over your license respectfully as you were asked to do and not rolling around on the ground punching a law enforcement officer “PINNED” on the ground underneath you, you wouldn’t have been shot. Period. White people have been shot many times for doing the SAME DAMN THING, so your color has nothing to do with that either.

I may get jumped on for saying this, but I reiterate I have nothing against black, Brown, yellow, green or blue, but if you feel you are a minority and singled out for whatever color you, move somewhere where everyone else is the same color you are, or stfu and follow the law.

Before reading the write-up, I thought officer Blood fired that shot on-purpose. It certainly was justified. The assailant could have grabbed the downed cop's gun in a flash.

I hope officer Blood resigned for the right reasons (not liking that type of job) versus any intimidation over a normal panic reaction in the heat of battle with a violent offender. I worked with a person who resigned from the police force after completing academy and one year of duty. The reason was the danger of being a smaller person subject violent fighting confrontations and the stress of having to interface with the underbelly of society. Some people just aren't built or wired to be cops.
