A Woman is Saved from a Rapist
A woman was driving her motorcycle on this highway and ran out of gas. As she was walking a man grabbed her and attempted to rape her. This happened on the Via Roso, Colombia. Obviously no names were disclosed. This is my rough translation (sorry it's long but it's an 8 minute video): A couple on a motorcycle saw the bike by the side of the road and a woman waving/calling them(?) so they turn around and pull over when they hear a woman scream. They get off their bikes and approach and hear a woman screaming “help!”. He finds her and asks her if she’s ok, to which she replies “no”. He asks her where they went and she points and he goes after them but it’s too late and too dark (they’re gone). The girl (recording the whole time), tells him to grab the cell phone and then tells the victim to come with her. He helps her go under the barbed wire as he asks her, “how many were there?”. She doesn’t respond. Then he asks the girl “are you live streaming to get our location?”. She says “it’s a video” (or “I’m just recording”). The victim is still crying “help”. He then asks again, “how many were there? Did they get to do anything?”, but she gets hysterical. He asks again, “did they do anything?” And she says “no, -indecipherable-, call the police”. He then asks, “what’s the number for the police?”. She cries, “I didn’t know what to do, help me, why didn’t you catch him?”. Then he asks, “were there one or two?”, she says “it ones one, a black one”. He says, “I can’t find the police phone number”. She says, “he gave me a kick in my stomach hard”. He then asks where her shoe was and she said she didn’t know, “I just had it”. He then goes under the barbed wire to look for it and the girl follows him. He says “I can’t find it” and the victim yells “don’t leave me alone”, so he tells the girl “stay over there” (with her). The victim says, “he hurt me bad”, and the girl calls him and says “it’s here” (the shoe). He asks again, “what’s the number for the police?”. The girl says, “let’s just go over there (to the police station), and we can tell them what happened”. They start to get ready to go but he decides to do a live stream to see if someone can help with the police phone number or call the police for them, and asks the girl how to do that. The victim says, “I want to die” and he asks her, “are you ok?, did he get to do something?” And the victim says “yes, he kicked me in the stomach twice”. As he keeps trying to livestream he says, “I truly forgot the police phone number”. As he looks at the phone camera and the screen he says, “there’s nobody there, nobody’s reading(?)”. Then he turns to the victim and asks her again, “are you ok? Did they hit you? Did they hurt you?”. Then suddenly he turns to the phone and starts talking to it saying, “hello my friends, it’s just that a girl was almost raped, and I need someone who can help me and give me the police phone number. I really don’t know it and I’m in this place right now. Someone please help me. This is Via Ross, someone please help. We’re trying to help a girl who got stuck here because of her motorcycle, someone send the police, please. Via Roso”. He keeps repeating himself. Then at one point he says, “they tried to rape her. She got stuck without gas in this darkness. And when we got here she called out to us and we turned around and we heard the noise, went in, and she was semi naked over there. The guy ran. But I don’t know the number for the police and that’s why I’m asking for help”. Some guy stops and he explains the situation and he tries to help call the police. At the end I could understand what he said except for one word, “done”. Then he shows the screen which says, “finalizing live transmission”. |

Re: A Woman is Saved from a Rapist
That man could have just kept on going instead of helping that lady instead he takes the time to help her at risk to himself. He didn't know if the guy was armed. If more people took the time out to help others in need the world would be a better place.
