Re: Dog Breaks Man's Leg in Half

Dog did his job; handler too damn slow on the release.
But fuck the mentally ill and the drugged-up. If your brain isn't working right, I don't particularly give a shit what happens to you. Don't need them walking around in public, and at least that loser won't be walking for a while...

Re: Dog Breaks Man's Leg in Half

That dog should be taken off the force. It obviously couldn't stop after it tasted that blood. Look at its face after it was taken off its meal. "Stop resisting, the dog will stop eating your leg when you put your hands behind your back." Lol. Give me a break.
I love the police. You never resist. But when a dog has its teeth in your leg and starts eating it, I would try to rip the eyes out of anyone by me or try to eat their face because of the pain. If they were police or not.
you are dumb as fuck

Re: Dog Breaks Man's Leg in Half

Why? He has a point; a well-trained police dog will hold when asked to hold, AND release when commanded to release. You can see the handler not having any luck at all getting the dog to release; perhaps the dog has a bit TOO much prey-drive, or hasn't been appropriately release-trained yet, in which case it should be taken off duty and put back into training.

And when you're in pain, good luck "complying" and "not resisting". This is the one thing that shits me in these situation. Many cops will say, "Stop resisting!" while twisting your arm into a pretzel. When you're in pain, your instinctual response is to GET OUT OF IT. There are restraining holds, and then there are simply pain-inflicting holds that go beyond that. Now frankly, most people being handled by the cops probably deserve it, but many don't; plenty of stories of wrong suspects and shithead cops simply beating on folks from a power-trip.

Re: Dog Breaks Man's Leg in Half

I almost always side with cops because criminals are usually idiots that resist.

This guy didn't resist at all that I saw?

Why blame the dog.

That was crazy and wrong.

Haven't ever worked with a K9, huh? Dogs do not respond like you think they do or like "in the movies". They are well trained to engage. It's the disengaging is where the problems lie. And this is affirmative for ALL K9's.

Re: Dog Breaks Man's Leg in Half

You take the risk when you want to resist.. Suck shit dipstick!
Could you lay still while a dog ripped your leg? This was uncalled for. He wasn't armed, he wasn't violent, he was clearly mentally unwell.

Re: Dog Breaks Man's Leg in Half

. He wasn't armed, he wasn't violent, he was clearly mentally unwell.
1. The cops had yet to determine if he were armed or not.

2. He started off combatively.

3. Clearly mentally unwell can easily add up to very very dangerous.

4. Also, this all occurred very close to a ledge with a precipitous drop.

A guy on PCP - or whatever - could easily have shoved/thrown 3 or 4 officers over the side.

Especially when he was crazed enough to not care about himself going over the edge as well.

This type of situation can easily get out of hand with officers ending up badly injured or dead.
