Re: Brazil - Food Vendor Having Psychotic Episode Is Shot By Police
Dude probably went for a gun but I can't tell cause the person recording moved camera out of the view. He was irate and probably not complying with cops. But they blasted that fool so they must've seen him escalate and become dangerous. I don't like street vendors, they're usually dirty insanitary and have no concept of cross contam

Re: Brazil - Food Vendor Having Psychotic Episode Is Shot By Police
A trader, who owns a kiosk on Iracema beach, in Fortaleza (CE), got angry during an inspection by the Municipal Guard and was hit by rubber bullets fired by agents. The GCMs attempted to carry out the inspection while the man raged at the kiosk. "Here it is legal. I have authorization. I have had permission for 16 years," said the trader. To contain the man, the shots were fired, at close range, which could pose risks. In a statement, the Municipal Guard said it was necessary to use low-lethal equipment. According to guards, he was armed with a knife and threatening the team. The trader admitted he was angry/rowdy, but he justified himself by showing documents. According to the seller, all taxes are paid and drinks are legal, in addition to denying having used any type of weapon at the time of the confusion. Alcoholic beverages in glass bottles were seized for not being sold in the area. The kiosk was interdicted and the trader taken to the police station and then released. |
