Re: Autistic Man Dies When Officer Smashed His Head On Ground During Take Down Hold
Creepy, it's unfortunate the man with autism died, but had that been me and someone with special needs tried to assault me, let me tell you the the first thing that's going to happen is that guy is going on the ground.... If he happens to get seriously injured in the process then I feel pretty confident I can beat this case in court given the facts and video evidence. There is in Canada, it's called the Mental Health Act. http://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90m07 |

This is terrible. That cop should have been fired. Illusion you're an idiot to think for a minute this kid could be of any threat to that officer or YOU. Slam a handicap to the ground? You must be really insecure.. |

The officer was promoted to Sgt. https://mountvernonnews.com/story/20...-two-promoted/ "New Mount Vernon Police officers and promotions were sworn in Friday afternoon at the police station meeting room. From left are new officers Sarah Wheeler, Tyler Berger, Joshua Kirby and Justin Willis. Cpl. Travis Tharp was promoted to sergeant and Patrolman Michael Wheeler to corporal." "David Levi Dehmann had been arrested at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday by Mount Vernon police Cpl. Travis Tharp, who had been sent to the ball fields at Dan Emmett Elementary School after a call about a suspected drunken man who had fallen down by the restrooms." |

Re: Autistic Man Dies When Officer Smashed His Head On Ground During Take Down Hold
Any halfwit with a brain would tell this bloke has special needs, i've been in my fair share of fights and altercations, many of which were much far more violent than what the victim showed the cop, yet I never killed anyone, and they weren't handicapped either. Jacks need better training, and far more often than what they currently receive. |
