| Vietnamese Couple Trying to Rob Clothes Store Stabbing Female Employee in Chest Vietnam, Last Friday evening a couple entered a clothing store planning to rob it. The woman pretended to buy something and gets assistance from the female employee when suddenly the male approached her from the back, grabs her by the neck, and starts stabbing her in the chest and hand. After more than a day of hiding, the pair of lovers, after the clip of the incident was posted online, came out their hiding place and went to the nearest police station.  At the police office, Phuong, a female student at a university in Hanoi, and Kien, an employee at a restaurant in Hanoi testified.  In the beginning of 2018, they started to know each other and fell in love. However, the love story of Kien and Phuong were opposed by both of their families. However, Kien and Phuong often met and communicated with each other in Hanoi. At the end of July, 2018, Kien went home in Dak Lak, where he lived, and Phuong travelled there to meet him. For fear of family discovery, Kien rented a room in Buon Ma Thuot for his lover.  Around 7:30 PM the same day, Kien and Phuong went to a clothing shop to find the opportunity to steal property. Here, Phuong tried to distract the female employee, Trang, and Kien entered from the back holding a knife with the idea of robbing money from her.  However, Trang struggled and shouted loudly. Afraid people would find out that Kien has used several knife stabs to pierce her chest, arms and wrists they escaped the shop. Fortunately, Trang was able to escape and was rushed to the emergency room.  Meanwhile, Kien and Phuong have fled to Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. After more than a day of hiding, due to encouragement of the Kien and Phuong families they came to the police department. |
