Re: Autistic Man Dies When Officer Smashed His Head On Ground During Take Down Hold
Dude looked like he was trying to deliver a palm thrust to the officer's face. That's a major no-no. I'm not a cop, but I've reacted the same way to drunk assholes who were being drunk assholes to me; and while I've never killed any of them, I didn't give a flying fuck whether they were too drunk to defend themselves. Intoxication is no excuse; if you're dumb enough to start shit when you're wasted, expect to get your ass beaten by someone who isn't. And really, this guy was probably just (over)diagnosed with mild autism when he was a kid. He wasn't so autistic that he couldn't get his hands kn two separate bottles of vodka, now was he? |

Usually, I side with the police, but, this guy probably would have slept it off. Maybe he was a pain in the ass, but, the was overkill, no pun intended. |

i dunno about this one. It seems the cop maybe over reacted. But without audio i dunno. He couldve been pointing and saying ill kill you, or pointing and saying ill see ya later. Id like to hear what my friend Oswald has to say. Hes got a pretty good insight on this kinda thing.

Re: Autistic Man Dies When Officer Smashed His Head On Ground During Take Down Hold
I would fucking kill anyone who touches my son like this. You may as well lock me up. Cuz if they ever put their hands on my son i will kill them. Autism makes it very difficult to understand socially acceptable behavior. You can work on it for fucking years and still never help them understand what an ugly, mean-face means, or when not to be silly. He tries to fucking hug the bald officer. When my son laughs at discipline I call it being "autism silly". Just by that hug you can tell he was not capable of correctly interpreting the gravity of that social situation. totally fucking uncalled for. just disgusting. This is a disaster of abuses. When did it EVER seem ok to slam the laughing guy with autism to the ground with such force he never hugs again. The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.

It isn't people first language but some people can't ever be expected to grow and evolve. I can't tell which you are anymore?

Re: Autistic Man Dies When Officer Smashed His Head On Ground During Take Down Hold
Not quite sure what that means, but I'm sure you know I come from a good place. I do want to add tho.. 9/10 times I'd side with the officers in that situation. They can't just assume every person that's drunk is autistic and going in for a hug and not a death blow. However, in this instance since they already had previous knowledge about his situation they made a tragic mistake. The officer should at the very least lose his badge. |
