I'm still not convinced these cars are ready for prime time, although they are better than most human drivers...

Depends on the contract with the jurisdiction, but yeah. Some small time examples like campus transit buses that run the same loop over and over do pretty well without one.

A Chinese company has been running autonomous semi trucks (with loads) from Tucson to El Paso for the last couple of years. I don't think they have had any accidents so far. |

When robot cars become common, motorcycle cops will no longer have anything to do, and will wind up reassigned to homeless monitoring, on bicycles. |
