I don't think he was trying to kill himself. He was trying to shoot the targets and is that bad of a shot.

For safety he should have been wearing a full metal jacket, although in this particular case it would not have helped.

The man was both very obese and his name was Mahmut. The retired cop should have recognized both of those warning signs and never handed him a gun.  |
