Probably should have put in some practice on the range first...

ANTALYA, (January 9, 2024) — A young man who came to the shooting range in Antalya suddenly turned the gun to his head and fired four shots, trying to commit suicide.

The young man was seriously injured in the incident, and the instructor who tried to save him was injured in the face. Both survived.

A 24-year-old young man named Mahmut KY suddenly pointed the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger during target practice. The instructor and retired police officer Ahmet P. 51, who was with him at the time, tried to stop the young man. He was struck by a bullet in his cheekbone. Mahmut KY, who was learned to have visited the shooting range several times before.

Didn't know cops could retire before 51. Maybe from health issues otherwise he grew a few pounds since than.

I think you got your signals crossed. The 51-year-old retired cop was the small guy in the Green Jacket the instructor. The great big dude was the 24-year-old who tried to shoot himself

Beautiful that the instructor saved him but sad that he himself got hit in the process. That is on the instructor though! If he taught the guy to aim properly then the instructor wouldn’t have got hit. Hope he makes a full recovery anyway!
