When you're picking bits of your child out of the dogs teeth you'll be saying "but it was so sweet before" I'm just saying don't let it's calm temperment fool you

That wont happen ever....ive had nasty dogs in the past and i retrain them. This 1 was 12 weeks old when we got her and there is no aggression in here whatsoever. If she scratches him with her dew claw and he cries she is gutted and licks him til he laughs

Re: The Nicer Side of Dogs :)

I am cautious with dogs around my child. My youngest son was at his moms house this summer as we switch off every week. He was playing with a dog that has never been abused and is treated well. Some reason the dog snapped and bit my 3 year old son's eyebrow off. I am thankful he is not blind. Just my story. Not taking sides.
I'm gutted for you i really am. My son is registered blind so i can understand what went thru your mind. But, i cannot wrap him up in cotton wool cos of his lack of eyesight, he bumps himself and falls over and gets knocked about all the time. He loves that dog with all his heart and they are growing up together. She is so protective over him it is scary, it's like she is not letting anybody hurt her toy
