One of the very few post-mortem pictures where she looks exactly how she did in life. Some of the embalmings I've seen left the person unrecognizable.

It seems she died away from home. There's a Polish grave website, and it says she was born and buried in Rybnik and died in Poniatowo. Rybnik is a large city in Southwest Poland and Poniatowo seems to be a small village in Central Poland.

I'm not sure what they do in Poland. It's possible she was partially embalmed and had cavity embalming only. That makes the deceased look more alive, but partial embalming is only suitable for presentation for a few days.
