I grew up in the funeral business and worked around it for several years. I shot some embalmings and bone harvests for educational purposes. I still have some on vhs. Growing up my dad never let me in the embalming room, but I would sneak peeks sometimes.

Yes. I was eleven, and my father was cold. For being dead, he looked really warm. The mortician had told my mother he had lesions covering so much of his body that the guy knew my father's last days were painful and suffered. It would have been better that we had cremated him than seeing what remained of him. |
