Although Putin knows using nukes would be certain death for him and Russia, I dont think he cares about anyone but himself. And so if the rumors are true, that Putin has terminal cancer, it could be his final move from his death bed to launch nukes at his enemies as a final fuck you all. I wouldn't put it past him.

America made a special law saying that if Russia blows up the nuclear power plant, they are at war with nato… guess what is going to happen now, especially with western media claiming the counteroffensive is not going as planned

If the western media (not the Ukrainian media because today they stated they were not even trying and used untrained people up until this point (with access to leopard and Bradley vehicles LOL) is correct, then that might be his final option, especially once Biden stops returning his calls  |

With Obama and Syria there was not even a law, but in that case it did not involve a Nato neighbour/ally country, but the setup was similar; the US said if you do this then we will attack you, and later that is what the opponent did; even though it gave them no tactical advantage, they were already destroying their enemies and only put them at a disadvantage to get the US involved.
