Re: Will Russia Use Nukes?
How's that going for Russia? Not so well evidently. 9 years ago Russia got caught trying to further turn Ukraine into their puppet state. Ukranians got pissed, threw Yanukovich out and told Putin to go fornicate himself. Ever since, Russia has since had an extreme case of sour grapes. If you think one country defending themselves against against the ridiculous, imperialist ambitions of another is "pointless", then sir you are hopeless.. |

Re: Will Russia Use Nukes?
You know what was even less “not so long ago”? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor 5 million Ukrainians murdered by the Russians… just because your fuhrer wanted them dead. Russia lost a lot of people in WWII, but they weren’t all lost to the Nazis. At least 1MM of the 27 you cite were Russians murdered by their own leaders. A lot of them died just because it’s cold in the winter and Russia is and always has been stupid. The Nazis were evil, and did a lot of evil things, but they couldn’t hold a candle to the evilness of the Soviets- Putin being simply their most recent chairman. Russia tried to do that. You must have missed the hilariously fumbled invasion of Kyiv, when the Ukrainians sent the Soviets packing… all before the huge influx of western support. The Russia army fell flat on its Commie face, and proved to the world that it couldn’t field an army commensurate with its purported place in the world. The soviets have continually lost ground for the last year or so, and have had to resort to conscripting convicts and old men, and putting cold-war museum pieces into service just to keep going. Russia doesn’t have a “decisive blow” in them. They never did. They never shed their Soviet corruption and stupidity, and this war just put it on display for the whole world to see. Now, when you go back to your Soviet handler, to collect your pay for these posts, ask them to give you some new material, because this shit is just making you all look silly. |

Re: Will Russia Use Nukes?
IMHO Russia can fight the war for a much longer time than Ukraine would be able to fend them off. Foreign funding for Ukraine is already getting stifled because other nations have their own problems to deal with and money will run out. I guess Russia won't need to use nukes if they can hold out. |

Re: Will Russia Use Nukes?
Russia does have a lot of resources but they are clearly not some limitless source of power and money. They have the GDP of the US state of Texas, have a monolithic economy and they're being heavily sanctioned by almost everyone. The better test is asking how long will the west support Ukraine. Which is still a lot even with recent news about a couple EU countries. Another good question is can Putin politically (maybe literally) survive another round of mobilization. Russia's military has suffered extreme casualty rates from the start of this botched invasion - sure Russians have an innate, livestock-like ability to suffer needlessly, but how long will that last? |

Re: Will Russia Use Nukes?
Unless China gets froggy, the western world has no one else to worry about, and might as well keep sending shells to Ukraine. The deficit spending isn’t good for inflation, but the Russian cannon-fodder sure as hell is good for GDP. …and they’re just commies, so who really cares when they march into our bullets? |
