Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room

Separate liberation of Kinburn Spit is not expedient

"Kinburn Spit is more controlled by the enemy. However, thanks to our fire control, the enemy cannot concentrate large groups of troops there... I want to explain to everyone: both the islands and the Kinburn Spit, their liberation is possible only during the general liberation of our territories. Separate liberation of the Kinburn Spit is not entirely appropriate. Why? Because there is an open area there and the enemy's fire can cause more damage than we will get benefits during the liberation of this territory," said Colonel Yevhen Yerin, Head of the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces.

It should be reminded that the Kinbur Spit is the only part of Mykolaiv region that is still under temporary occupation

Russia has restricted travel for persons liable for military service, - Ukrainian intelligence

The Russian FSB sent the corresponding order to all border departments of the country.

"Starting from January 9, 2023, from 00:00, the border guard departments of the FSB of Russia shall restrict the departure from the territory of the Russian Federation of citizens who have a certificate of readiness for military service in categories "A", "B" and "C"," - the statement reads.

Earlier it was reported about the preparation of a new wave of mobilization in Russia. It will take about two months to equip and train the "replenishment".

Comparing Russia to the US in terms of anything is a joke. Russia has the GDP of the US state of Texas

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room

Days after taking Dibrova, Ukr forces enter Kuzmyne which is 3km from Kreminna.

It should be noted that Kreminna has a larger strategic value compared to Soledar/Bakhmut - it is a major conduit for existing Russian supply lines from the north and supplying Svatove from the south.

Now we know, that one US aircraft carrier has aproximately same amount of operational planes and trained pilots as whole russian airforce. And there is nonexistent eletronic warfare part of russian airoforce and other crucial sections needed for succesful combat operations

I can remember seeing Russian army "paper" statistics when I was still in the service and being impressed with the sheer amount of "stuff" they have. If we've learned anything since Feb 2022 it's that Russian army servicemen are poorly trained, unmotivated and very poorly led. Special emphasis on the last part. And they lack the wartime industry to properly maintain their equipment, something the US excels at.

Russia probably only exceeds the US with the raw amount of servicable nuclear weapons. A cold-war era dick measuring contest Russia still feels the need to play to compensate for their inadequacies. Russia doesn't even produce more oil than the US anymore.
