Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
1. The UK is considering the possibility of transferring "a certain number" of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, Sky News reports. Sources say that negotiations have been underway for several weeks. Britain believes that such a step will encourage allies to follow its example. 2. Ukraine will receive a "symbolic number" of Leopard tanks from Poland in the future. The head of the Bureau of International Policy of the Presidential Chancellery, Jakub Kumoch, said that it is about several dozen units. 3. Georgia refused to return to Ukraine the Buk self-propelled anti-aircraft missile systems that Kyiv provided to Tbilisi during the Russian attack in 2008. Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Georgia Andriy Kasyanov said that the Ukrainian side appealed to Georgia not only for the SAMs, but also for Javelin anti-tank systems provided to Tbilisi by the US allies. The US not only approved the transfer of its weapons, but even offered Tbilisi to replace the systems with newer ones. The Georgian government categorically refused. 4. Sweden will provide Ukraine with Archer artillery systems. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Foreign Minister Tobias Billström say the process is at the planning stage.

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
Wagner forces continue to execute costly attacks on Soledar. They have been making progress. It's my opinion that Wagner forces have completely shifted focus from Bakhmut to Soledar, likely because of their repeated failures in Bakhmut with very little to show for it. South of Soledar, if Ukraine does not push this southern salient back east, and the town risks being encircled, you can expect Ukraine to retreat similarly to Severodonyetsk during the summer. The Bakhmut situation is ugly but the threat of Russian forces taking it any time soon is very unlikely. |

Re: Whiskey's Briefing Room
One of the main advantages of Ukraine in this war is the golden hands and bright heads of Ukrainians who create, construct and help our military in achieving victory over the horde. For example, the Vols team creates mobile buggies that can quickly and discreetly deliver, evacuate and protect.

Has a doggo in it but it's very cool... so putting it here. "In Odesa, during training, a service dog discovered shells from the Second World War Four-legged assistant Yorna worked on a place where there were no educational bookmarks. The border sappers found there two 152 mm artillery shells from the Second World War. The representatives of the State Emergency Service were informed about the find."
