Truly bizarre. Russians are worried of a Ukrainian amphibious assault on lower Crimea. To me that seems incredibly unlikely Ukraine would try that - far too risky, but then again high risk/high reward.

Ukraine probably has no intention of conducting an amphib assault, but they're more than happy to make the Russians think otherwise - tie up Russian troops in Crimea for an amphib assault that will never come, leaving a nice hole elsewhere ripe for attack

"The War Zone" reports that the Armed Forces are successfully using self-made "Vilkha-M" anti-aircraft missiles with a range of up to 110 km. Secretary of the VRU Committee on National Security and Defense Ivan Vinnyk noted that these missiles were used in combat in May 2022. He also explained that the accuracy of the MLRS is increased by the so-called "gas rudders", which are used to guide the missiles to the target using GPS.

According to Vinnyk, it is planned to modify "Vilkha-M" to increase the range to 150 km. However, he declined to specify when the longer-range variants will be ready and how many will be produced. "Let's put it this way, I hope, just in time for the widely discussed date of the counteroffensive to the south in the direction of the Sea of Azov," he said.
