There are at least two IRA groups One is defence only that went around torturing their own to stop crime and to punish women that gave intel to the other side to feed their 14 kids and the other is the Provisional IRA who went about assassinating kidnapping and setting off bombs near civilians, most of the people killed by both IRA groups were Irish people.
