yeah but with the options, keep reversing or stop the car and try to turn around, i think i would keep reversing, even if its slow as hell it would of stopped them from being surrounded and killed

My thoughts exactly. Just keep reversing until you can round a corner. The driver effed up and got killed for his hesitation. A car is a much more violent weapon in a crowd than a gun anyways. Even if blocked off in the reverse he should of just kept using his car as a weapon until he absolutely could not move. Then the pistol in that situation is not useful as a threat. It should of been fired until he ran out of bullets and make every shot count. No use dying alone.

All soildiers carried a yellow card a terms an conditions thing they signed that only allows them to fire on someone if that person shows a gun to them. if these soildiers had fired on the crowd and no gun found on the bodies those soilders would of been in prison for a life sentance.

Being in prison for a lifetime is preferable to being stomped to death. Think about it.

has anyone heard of the quote "sacrifice a few to save millions" the men was sent there for the pure point of distraction. they take everyones attention so 5-10 soldiers could come round the back and blend in then stay "undercover" for a couple of weeks to collect information about what the ira was up to

they weren't SAS, they were normal soldiers in plain clothes...they didn't know about the funeral and drove into the rear of the procession...they never read the out of bounds bulletins for that day.
