Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VI
That video is obviously of a missile or a higher end drone. I was trying to explain to you that timed detonations are not possible on missiles, and there's no such thing as a GPS detonation. Timed detonations are ONLY used in fired shell ammunition, because the trajectory can easily be calculated. Can't do that with missiles because their flight paths change on the way. The GPS guided munitions also do not determine the best AoA. That's programmed in the firmware on the missile or control system. Like when the Javelin fires, you need to select which type of hit you want to occur, it's not that you just kind of point it in the direction and the rocket makes its own determination, 'gps guided munitions' are the same way. You can have all the discussions you want, but it doesn't make something exist that doesn't exist. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VI
Sorry but fpv drones only show here on those videos that they lack in effectiveness big time. The drone literally explodes in the middle of the group stacking at the top of the rank and they roll from the vehicle freely, no signs of anybody being dead. I’m sure what they did was they just probably dusted the shit off and got back to the business 20 minutes later. So a drone like this only stops them for like 20 minutes. It’s completely irrelevant. Loss of time, money and resources. Such drone in order to be effective should be filled with shrapnel-like elements and literally obliterate everything in its radius. At the moment these are firecrackers.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VI
No kidding that you can't time a missile & you obviously missed my point about GPS Guided Smart Munitions that have sensors in them to detonate at optimal time & direct the explosion accordingly to the target, it's a set & forget that's why they call them Smart Munitions. I suggest that you put your head back in the sand as you don't make any sense with your reply or understanding of what I explained to you or better yet go back to the start of this smo / war / invasion & school up on the topic as you clearly have no fucken idea what your talking about, nice try though ! |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread VI
You've motioned this a few times & here's a hypothesis that may answer your questions again ! Firecrackers you say, yep firecrackers that spit out hundreds of ball bearings & hit arteries ect & bleed out over time, as just because there was an explosion doesn't mean that they all just suddenly drop dead. Could be to slow them down for arty or just a psychological det to stop them advancing until they can react with the necessary force to eliminate the invaders ect, who knows but one things for sure, they aren't filled with flowers. |
