Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV

What are you on about. The world is a lot more complicated than your black-and-white Faustian definitions of what you think words should mean.
He just thinks he needs to get down to the 1st grade level to explain some folks here what is what, can’t blame him tho

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread IV

(example)

A military has: 3000 tanks, 400 fighter jets, 100 boats
In 11 months that military has:
200 tanks 20 fighter jets 5 boats

If the number of working military equipment decreases the process is called demilitarisation.

Unless the total number of working military equipment increases, what is happening in ukraine is called demilitarisation.

To make it easier for you; change Ukraine and Russia with Syria and the west.
Syria loses +80% of its working military equipment. That is what you call demilitarisation right?
Ukraine is being demilitarized?
In what insane world is that a reality?

Ukraine is more militarized now than it has ever been before...and its military keeps increasing. Being militarized isn't just tanks or artillery. Its personnel(which has increased many times after the invasion), its the will to fight...its the quality and destructiveness of the weapons( which has gone up massively thanks to western aid ). Would you prefer to have 1 HIMARS or 10 soviet era artillery pieces? Ukraine is also about to get western fighter jets soon, so their aviation is gona get a boost in quality as well.
Considering Russia's massive losses, in relative terms, Ukraine has militarized even more. If before the war, Russia had overwhelming military superiority, then now, they are pretty much equals. That is evident based on the static frontline.
So yes, Putin's goal of demilitarization has completely and utterly failed. The failure is total. This is not up for debate.
If anything, he managed to demilitarize Russia, which now has significantly fewer modern tanks, half or a quarter of high-tech missiles left and his airforce has been gutted as well.

Putins “demilitarization” didn’t take into consideration vast western support. So taking this into account is wrong. He did demilitarize what he thought needs to be demilitarize, but continuation of this war and western support obviously put the end date of this BS to a longer time frames.

You're crabby today! rowr

Is getting down to a 1st grade level what he did when he explained to me, a Air Force pilot's daughter, what an F-16 is?

I joke. Kinda.

I appreciate the friendly, civil dialog or even the uneventful silence with him after all the crap that's happened. But I've told everyone, more times than I can count, that most text I include with posts is direct source information. I do not author it unless I make that obvious.

Twice now he's mansplained things to me that he mistook as my own words, one of which wasn't even a part of what I was posting about. It's all good... but I'm not going to keep responding to it.

Not to you tho, in fact I didn’t mention any names to be honest. Why, why you always take it personal I actually thought editing my post by “don’t mean WM” but than was like - naaah she will not think I’m talking about her

Also, there were 10s if not 100s times when you quoted OP without “” thing, which made me disappointed because from our previous conversations I figured you wouldn’t say shit like that. And just because I think of you much better than 99% of your posts without “” , I truly thought those were not your own words.

What “crabby” means?
I’m just not that active tho, as I used to be. So when I have a time to dive into this “look Russia this and Russia that BS” after a break, I can let myself go a little

I know you may not have been talking to me. But it was just funny you said he has to get down on 1st grade level... and he didn't think I know what an F-16 is. No big deal. It was , that's all.

I used to put quotes... but it's a lot of extra work sometimes. Usually I can just Control V paste the comment from telegram but adding quotes is extra. (so I just put my own words in parenthesis or make it more obvious when I'm authoring something). you can pretty much assume that on mostly anything I post with a picture or video that the info with it is not my words. Sometimes I even change derogatory stuff but put it [brackets]... if the post says "orc" I will change it to [Russian], as an example.

Crabby is a mild way of saying "bitchy" or "grumpy".

Russian soldier.

Brought back some memories from my high school … 2000ish. Right when sum41, blink182, offspring were popular in US, which I listened to back than too and loved it.

Putin's demilitarization didn't take reality into consideration :D

Russia should demilitarize itself. It has no need for an army. Once the Russian army has been reduced to a token task force...EU can follow, and we could stop wasting money on a zero-return investment.
