Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
with the way the battlefield is monitored, i don't think it was. i think its just removing an obvious target or maybe it was moved like everything else. pulling a trap like that requires a level of competence the Russian army has yet to demonstrate. a Russian diversion is usually to attack something, fail then claim it as a tactic. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Two NASAMS already in Ukraine, 8 more very soon. The systems from Germany, France, Netherlands are better suited / more economic against lranian drones. In addition to NASAMS, the Pentagon promises to deliever anti-drone equipment to Ukraine, including the VAMPIRE system. They need this: https://www.aerodefense.tech/airward...tection-system or: https://www.unmannedairspace.info/co...rone-platform/ |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
About pulling back the troops - could it be as simple as R&R for the troops that have been fighting there since the beginning? There have been many intercepted calls where soldiers complain that they were promised R&R but not allowed to leave until mobiks arrive. Maybe its just a rotation of troops. Pulling off a diversion at this scale seems unlikely to work...as Russians know that everything is monitored. Could removing of the flag be because they moved the administration into another building behind the lines? |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
The Russians appear to have moved their Kherson administrative personnel to a town much closer to Crimea, can't remember the name of the town. It's possible they are preparing Kherson city for an urban fight in order to inflict heavy losses on the ZSU. They know how bad Ukraine wants it back. The Russians at this point may have little desire to actually hold Kherson city, they just want ZSU to impale themselves on it, like what is happening to the Russians at Bakhmut. The ability for Russia to supply whatever units remain in Kherson will be virtually zero. Sacrificial lambs. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
I wouldn't be surprised as the A-10 is one bad ass machine & excellent in providing close air support to troops in contact. It would be a very hard decision for me to pick between an A-10 & a Viper for a multi roll tasking mission. I think that I would leave it up to a roll of the dice as both are excellent platforms & systems, IMO. |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III
Ever since Elon's purchase went through, Twitter has changed drastically... and it's only been less than a week. Ukraine stuff is not as prolific and those poor NAFO dogs are being targeted. lol
