Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

makes me wonder who and how they made that connection.
That was the unofficial nomenclature before I enlisted. Calling it "human cum" or "horse cum" might have been a bit off-putting, I guess.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

Did. 1980-81, 88-90, and 93-94. Best airframe and weapons system I worked on, and I've worked on several. Afraid they'd be overmatched in this conflict if they were in theater, though.
My brother in law (Gulf war USAF vet) said an A-10 flew back from Iraq and landed at Riyadh with like half of a wing and other significant damage. True?

Yeah - female pilot too, IIRC. Not like having a vagina makes a person less qualified to fly, just sayin'.

In the video he said that tank was hit by "matador" ATGM ( Malasia/Israel ATGM if im not mistaken). This ATGM has two warheads? One deal with staff like ERA and another one penetrates the armor. ERA seems to be outdated now with weapons like that. No wonder tank is done.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

So,
What do you guys think about the Russian strategy of "removing the Russian flag" from Kherson administrative buildings and making it look as if they are retreating?
Is it some kind of diversion?

idk.. I was trying to figure that out starting from RF knows they cant handle whats coming or simply thinking ahead of times and preparing a better positions if anything to make everyone wonder wtf is going on ( this works perfect btw ) and setting up a trap for Ukr offensive or make it look like a trap to slow Ukr offensive down until they figure out wtf is goin on lol

Edit: Ohh you said "flags" I thought "leaving that bank of the river" IDK Rus TCs saying flags are in place

any info i find says dual-capability warhead. HESH or HEAT. just extend its little thingy for tanks. appears to not be a tandem warhead. the era skirts are rated for 450-600mm CE. probably only 60-70mm of steel behind that.

"The performance of the warhead against armored vehicles is also significantly increased over that of the earlier Armbrust, with the ability to penetrate 500 mm of rolled homogenous armor equivalent. However, it still lacks a precursor charge, so performance against reactive armor is still poor."
