Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

I was thinking it was some military jargon that I hadn't caught up on.
I still remember the look that woman gave me when I called the fuel can with the long flexible spout on it a "donkey dick". I don't care how senile I get when I'm 90, I'll remember that one to the grave

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread III

On the subject of drone weapons - I'm surprised that bivouac'd troops don't assign someone in their unit to be on aerial lookout for drones, and is armed with a rifle or countermeasure of some sort. Drones seem to be the go-to anti-personnel and LAV destruction device in this war, and to rotate people on lookout duty for drones could save a bunch of lives and materiel.

Of course, I would like UA troops to employ that defensive measure, not RU.

We used to refill the GAU-8 gun lubricator reservoir with a viscous, ropey lube we referred to as "camel cum".

was watching a video and it came to me, small device listening for propeller frequencies, fucker starts beeping if it hears a drone, add more mics and you got a drone boomerang system that could direct you.

Sounds like the Russians will need to steal more washing machines to provide that to their troops.

Did. 1980-81, 88-90, and 93-94. Best airframe and weapons system I worked on, and I've worked on several. Afraid they'd be overmatched in this conflict if they were in theater, though.
