Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II
ok, those who like to read, could you please read this article and tell me your thoughts. I know a lot of you will not agree with this info. If you will say "americanconservative" is lame, please explain why or if you thin the guy who wrote this article (Douglas Macgregor, Col. (ret.) is a senior fellow with The American Conservative, the former advisor to the Secretary of Defense in the Trump administration, a decorated combat veteran) is delusional, please explain why officer of his level and experience would write a madness like this https://www.theamericanconservative....nd-losing-war/ |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II
“If you want good living conditions for your people, then you are a fascist!!” These people are basically stanning for their own governments who fuck them over on occasion, or more often recently. Once more people stop viewing Russia as the enemy, those governments have a real issue on their hands. They either get voted away, or the protests will not stay peaceful. Uncle Sam wont mind, the more weak the euro becomes, the harder his dick gets. The special military operation is not the cause, but merely a result of a diseased world. In a way it is a futile attempt to cut away some of the cancer. A symptom of the diseased world is people cheering on that Ukrainian people are led to the slaughter and entire cities get destroyed. All because that could hurt our Mortal Enemy, Russia, who main crime is supplying cheap gas all over the world, not supporting LGBTQ rights, nor wanting NATO bases on their borders. As for the 2031 Western Coalition Forces invasion of Former Ukraine, whose side will you be on? |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II
I tried to accept your challenge but I have a policy that current, future, or former high ranking government officials should not be trusted regardless of left or right, so I went into the article guarded. The first paragraph talks about German army failures during WWII, then continues to compare them to what's going on to day. Do you see where I'm going with this? Regarding the "American Conservative" as a source... I have not done the research to give an opinion on that... but in general I say to each their own. Truth be told it sounds like something my republican parents would be a part of. This guy also served in the Trump administration. That makes me even less interested in hearing what he has to say. I'm definitely not a fan of Biden either but Trump just fucking irked the shit out of me 99% of the time... even just looking at him, let alone some of the completely crazy shit that came out of his mouth. I have always felt that way about him. But because we have a democratic president in office, the conservative politicians are speaking out against his decisions with this war. It would be the same way if we had a republican president. The democrats would be criticizing the way he or she was handling things. The nature of the beast anymore I'm afraid. As for what he is saying... I can agree for sure with the fact that "Washington" is got their meat hooks in this war far more than I, or any American, should feel comfortable with. It also seems like the talk of Putin using nukes is getting a little scarier by the day... but I haven't exactly sat myself down, had a chat with myself to REALLY wrap my head around that actually happening. If he uses nukes in Ukraine, I fear shit is really going to hit the fan. But I'm not ready to retreat to my underground bunker yet. I do have one end all be all answer for this guy with his article as well as everything else... Russia should not be in Ukraine.

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II
Dude he is not even on twitter why should we trust him??? But seriously, excellent read which is a very down to earth perspective as to what is also happening. Empty liberated streets with a few senior citizens living there are hollow victories, if anything. Especially considering the real cost |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II
You don’t think he’s pointing at Zelenskiy while looking at Hitlers picture on the wall do you? So Long story short - conservative republican would say anything pretty much to prove democrats wrong and vice versa? It’s actually kind of scary Hey, thank you for your answer! |

Re: Russian/Ukraine War Discussion Thread II
lol... I don't know what he's doing in his free time. Overall, it was a well written piece. But yes, his political motivations combined with the state of the political mess in the United States gives me pause. That's all each side does. Disagrees with each other. You should see all these horrible commercials for Senate reps running in my state and all over the country. It's comical. And sickening. It's a legit 3 ring circus!
