Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
"The consequences of Russia's blowing up the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam will be clear after the water starts to come down, Zelensky said at a press conference on the occasion of Journalist's Day. "We understand that 35 to 70 settlements will be flooded. We understand that there will be big problems with drinking water even in places that are not flooded: in Dnipropetrovs'k, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. The consequences of the tragedy will be clear in about a week, when the water goes away," the President said. He also said that the special services had developed plans in case the dam was blown up" ALSO "The dam explosion did not affect Ukraine's ability to de-occupy its own territories, the President said after a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. According to intelligence, the explosion was deliberate, but the enemy acted chaotically, allowing their own equipment to be flooded." "The Energia Stadium in Nova Kakhovka is already under water" 1. "The destruction of Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant is a terrible technogenic, ecological and humanitarian catastrophe. The aftermath of destroying the dam of Kakhovka HPP have been modeled previously - they are on the video. The future of Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is also at question. Water to cool off its reactors comes from Kakhovska water reservoir. Expert opinion is needed on that. Flooding resulting from the destruction can lead to many deaths. A lot of people will lose their homes as settelements might be flooded. Mass evacuation has already started. It's an ecological catastrophe - tens of thousands tons of fish and unique biosphere will die. The nests of millions of birds in the wetlands along the left bank of the Dnieper river have been flooded. The North Crimean canal will now dry out and will remain dry for a long time. People in the south and in Crimea will be left without drinking water." 2. "About 16,000 people are in "critical zone" in Kherson region on the right bank of the Dnieper river - head of Kherson regional military administration. Evacuation trains will take people to safety from Kherson" #khpp #znpp #kherson #zaporizhzhia #warcrime

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
the biggest gap could be twice as big, lucky that part still stand. if it keeps standing it'll be an ace for filling the largest gap. which is clearly the deepest. but if it's only 10-15 meters deep, it can be blocked by tree logs, RUS tanks, boulders, and than filled up if you live at such a wide river, you mst have an arsenal of boats etc. nearby. olet's hope those sea mines were anchored... |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
**WARNING** Honestly, there is SO MUCH media being posted about this event I'm not going to post it all. There are absolutely horrific things going on due to this both human and animal related. People's homes floating away, entire zoo's and all its animals destroyed. This is extremely difficult to watch. 1. ""We mined everything on Kakhovka HPP. So, they'll f**king blow it up and will wash away Ukrainian Armed Forces on the other side" - a Russian says. The video was published on 10 December, 2022." 2. "Civilians are helping to evacuate other civilians under shelling in Kherson. The person is shouting "People!"" 3. "So-called "head" of Kherson region (Russian-appointed) says "the presence of big water is not felt at all" in temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka and that people are calm. The videos from Nova Kakhovka tell a different story." 4. "A road near Oleshky (left bank of Dnipro river, temporarily occupied territory) towards Crimea." 5. This was someone's home. 6. This is a video from one zoo that's been completely destroyed. Only swans, geese, ducks survived. There are no deceased animals on the video but the woman sobbing says enough. I did not want to include this in the waranimals thread and won't be posting anymore media like this. "A road near Oleshky (left bank of Dnipro river, temporarily occupied territory) towards Crimea." 7. "Temporarily occupied Oleshky in Kherson region. The town has been completely flooded."

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
unconfirmed information: Before destroying the hydroelectric power station, the Russians raised the water level to a record 17.5 meters and left the gates closed before destroying it for maximum damage to hold up Ukranian counter offensive. Remember? |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
Exactly IMO 2 ! Ukraine would not shoot themselves in the foot by blowing up the dam as it would, as we have seen by the destruction, hinder the offensive by creating an obstacle that would not only be a hindrance for the offensive, but it would also give the orc's a bit more time to regroup all the while the orcs play the blame game. One thing is for sure though, it won't stop Ukraine from ridding these genocidal mother fuckers from their lands, it will only delay it. |

He doesn't give a fuck about things anymore to have ordered this to be done, which makes him even more dangerous than ever as it's an ecological disaster & he would have known that before giving the go ahead. It seems that the gloves are well & truly off & this fucker has now proven that he is willing to destroy the planet by creating ecological disasters to ensure that his greedy genocidal land grab is a success. Sad, deplorable human ! |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
Too bad, the short way to Crimea is blocked now, until the water finally goes away and everything dries up. Heard it'll take 7 days for the tide to decrease to normal levels (hard to believe, considering the size of the whole basin).

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III
1. Kherson. Houses are collapsing due to flooding. 2. "Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov releases satellite images of the man-made disaster at the Novokakhovka dam and hydroelectric power plant." 3. One of the sources I follow created a video about the dam. Source quote: "In Ukraine, Russians blew up the Kakhovka Dam. One of the largest reservoirs in Ukraine is no more. Mass evacuation from the Kherson region. Floating houses, cut highways and evacuation under fire. Hundreds of villages and towns in Ukraine are under water. Another terrorist act by Russia. Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is under threat. Zelenskyy qualifies the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant as ecocide. Meanwhile, the UN celebrates Russian Language Day. Crimea is likely to be left without drinking water. " 4. On the left bank of Kherson, Russian's sit in trees waiting for evacuation. #kherson #khpp #zaporizhzhia #znpp
