Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III

Ukraine was always a multi language country and for more than 100 years, the ethnic-‘Russian’ speakers called it Artyomovsk, this has nothing to do with any occupiers ( also more like: new owners), it is just the Language which a large percentage of (former) Ukrainians/ tens of millions in that country speak.
The Indians or the Mexicans had names for their villages as well, but not all genocide can erase language
From Wikipedia:

The origin of the name Bakhmut is uncertain. According to a theory by Kharkiv historian Igor Rassokhaa, the word may derive from a Turkic/Tatar word meaning 'salt water' or 'beach'. The name dates back to 1571.

The Soviet name Artemovsk (Artemivsk) was derived from the name of the Russian Bolshevik leader Fyodor Sergeyev, also known as Comrade Artem (Artyom). The city was known as Artemivsk or Artemovsk between 1924 and 2016.

The city returned to its original name in 2016 as a result of the decommunization process. The restoration of the historic name has been unrecognized by the Russian government (which claims the city as a part of the separatist Donetsk People's Republic), with Russian regime sources labeling the town as Artemovsk.

I'm aware of the language differences and the different spellings of certain cities/settlements as well as some of the history surrounding them. I didn't write the post, I only quoted it from a source. The source I used for is Ukrainian, born and raised there.

The use of Bakhmut precedes "Artemovsk" by 350 years. Ukraine didn't name it Artemovsk, Russia did. Russia is currently occupying it and other parts of the country right now. So it does relate because the occupiers are still calling it something it's not (anymore) and it's Ukrainian territory. Not Russian territory.

What doesn't relate are Native Americans and Mexicans and what they named their villages/cities/settlements.

You're wonderfully versed in propaganda; constantly yet subtly shifting the narrative and terminology is an incredibly effective tool.

Imagine if you put this much energy into being a decent human being

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III

Explain to me how the name Artemovsk came to be, and who used it for how many years

ChatGPT
The name Artemovsk is derived from the name Artem, which in turn originates from the Greek goddess Artemis. Artemis was the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, and the moon. In Greek mythology, she was often associated with nature, animals, and female empowerment.

The suffix "-ovsk" is a common way to form place names in several Slavic languages, including Ukrainian, which is likely the language of origin for the name Artemovsk. The suffix "-ovsk" is derived from the Slavic word "ov," meaning "belonging to" or "related to."

Artemovsk was historically a town in Ukraine, located in the eastern part of the country. It was founded in the 18th century and was originally called Bakhmut. The name Artemovsk was adopted in 1924 in honor of the Soviet politician Fyodor Sergeyev, who was also known by his revolutionary pseudonym "Artem."

Artemovsk was primarily an industrial and mining town, known for its coal mines and chemical plants. The name Artemovsk remained in use for several decades until 2016 when the Ukrainian government officially changed the name of the town to Bakhmut once again. This change was part of a broader decommunization process in Ukraine, which aimed to remove Soviet-related names and symbols from public spaces.

Therefore, Artemovsk was used as the name of the town for approximately 92 years, from 1924 to 2016

You don't have any credibility so why should we take what you have to say under advisement. That was a rhetorical question.

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media III

I don’t give half a Commie shit what your personal politics are. They don’t belong here. Your TV told you to hate the bad orange man, so you can’t help yourself but to bring him up where he doesn’t belong in the conversation.

Over and over you do it. If it isn’t Trump, it’s “right wingers”. If it isn’t “right wingers”, it’s people of Faith. You are nothing but an empty shell and speakerbox for the left-biased Euro media, without an original thought of your own.

Russia’s invasion and attempted genocide in Ukraine is not a left v. right thing. It’s a Commie vs. free-people thing. Leave your unnecessary BS politics out of it. I promise you, no one from your preferred TV network is reading this thread and giving you points for unnecessarily bringing that crap up here.

There’s a whole internet for you to virtue signal to your mental handlers. Don’t ruin these informative threads with it.
Who hurt you my man?
What exactly was your trigger word?
Was it Trump?
Is he your god...or god like figure?

I just want to know how do these trigger-brains work exactly.

The tv didnt tell me to hate anyone. Its the logical part of my brain that does. And you brought up faith again...well fine, that too is riddiculed by the logical part of the brain. Faith is stupidity by definition. So...its not media or commy shit that makes me against faith, its basic human intelligence.
The orange man will go into history as the stupidest and funniest president of all time. He layed the foundation for idiocracy for becoming real.

Artyomovsk or Bakhmut, fort was build by the Russian Empire to protect its borders from tatars and Turks on the South. Either way Russians named it and if I was in charge I would leave it as Bakhmut

The puppet government of 2014 changed it in 2016 and now even people here pretend it was Bakhmut all along, even though through most of the posters their entire life it was not called bakhmut
