Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media

"THE PURGE: LTCOL Roman Malyk, placed in charge of Putin's botched mobilization effort, has been found dead at his residence at Primorsky, in RU’s far east. A police investigation has been launched, and a verdict of “suicide" has not been ruled out. "

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Mobilization, Protests & Sabotage Media

I wasn't talking about US, EU only. Gas/oil is one side of the story. EU shot itself with the sanctions and than counter sanctions came in.
Here how I see it:
- While EU sold lots of goods to Russia, Russia sold to EU almost 5 times less ( during sanctions EU business was hit much harder obviously)
- Gas is one thing, but oil is as important. Gas, Diesel and jet fuel prices go up which will be followed by price increase on pretty much everything. OPEC is going to reduce oil production. No matter how Biden didn't want them to do so...probably made them even angrier with his visit
- SWIFT.. IMO EU loosing millions if not more just because Russian banks can't pay their obligations.
- Closing business in Russia = unemployment rate goes up in EU on key factories, slowing down production.
- agriculture. While EU and Ukraine were playing angels by offering UA grains to poor countries of Africa, reality is only a few if not less ships went there and not with grains but corn..everything else went to EU. If Russia will close down Odessa/Nikolaev port again, it will be nasty. Along with that Russia is a big fertilizer production state , a lot of EU countries depended on that. We could see farmers rioting in France, Italy and some other countries. What kind go harvest will be there next year is questionable..it can get very ug,ly.
- Metals. Palladium needed for the car industries, titan for aviations. Aluminum, cobalt, platinum....list is long.
- Immigrants..
- And of cause gas. Not only it matters for the temperature inside the house, but also for all kind of industries. Such as chemical, agricultural, metallurgy, mechanichal engineering .. They are all connected and interconnected.

I wouldn't look at the inflation rate so much here. Governments able to inject money into the economy, but low/mid class citizens feel the impact.

With all of the above I agree with you that economies went through some tough times since 2008 and pandemic and all and that is why I think that together with war and sanctions and everything else its crazy now.

Not sure if titans of UE economy like Germany are making good profits... Russia on another hand just by selling gas and oil will have a surplus around 300 billions this year ( yes I said this many times oh well)...and just keep in mind that Russian annual budget is aprox 600 billions? so they just made of profit 1/3 of a budget. Will EU economy and citizens come out victorious in a battle with Russian economy/propaganda/unity? IDK, but im very curious to see

EDIT: and please, dont tell me this is all Russian propaganda

What you are talking about is the same as academics and professors are talking about when discussing these subjects. People with doctorates and PHDs in economic fields have this perspective also. Like yourself, they understand this clearly. However, smart as you are, your explanation is really falling onto deaf ears. Your audience has certain believes installed by their governments which are clouding their vision. They really believe in some military planning a general is saying: “we have to destroy this childrens’ playground as a target, use our most expensive missiles to do it this is symbolic we have to do it guys” as something that actually happened.
Think about that for a minute. Do you really believe they would understand even 1% of the economic impact of this conflict?

They can’t because it is ‘bad for their side’, so it must be russian propaganda. The sanctions are clearly working, because that russian jet crashed into a building, clearly because the sanctions prevented them for getting the correct parts for their army so it is all worth it!

Really they cannot think beyond this so while I respect that you take the effort to post it, and history will show it unless somebody like them becomes a mod and deletes your posts, they wont believe any of it until their governments tell it to them or their whole block is marching on the street

Thanks. Well, most of the active members here have a straight up hate towards Russia or USSR, so those will not accept this facts probably. But there are others here who's keeping silence and reading the posts, those who has more or less neutral position probably will.

Professor Faust preaching his regular drivel studded with logical fallacies while a pro-Russian talks about "facts".

The arrogance from you two is palpable
