Later in the afternoon the three hostages where handed over to Red Cross SUVs on a public square in central Gaza. A huge mob of Gazans was pushing towards the hostages, chanting Alahu Akbar. Armed Hamas gunman tried to push back the frenzied crowd to get it done. Looks humiliating and this was probably what Hamas planed to show the world. They also handed over some paper bags with souvenirs from Gaza, one for each hostage. Happy Photos from captivity and such.

At the same time 2 busses of Israeli security prisoners were released (90 males and females).

I can't remember any other Red Cross prisoner exchange where they allow armed men climbing on the roof of their cars. Or gathering huge crowds for propaganda purposes.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but civilized world has needs to remember that every returned hostage carries a debt that cannot be repaid. That debt is the certainly that their successful return will lead to the taking of future innocent hostages, to barter for more cash and criminals.

Two days after being freed from Hamas captivity, Rumi Gonen, Emily Demari, and Doron Steinbacher began sharing their experiences. They revealed that during their time in captivity, they were held in United Nations facilities intended for civilian populations.

Channel 13 News (Israel) reported that after 471 days in captivity, the three women recounted their ordeal and the conditions they endured since their abduction on October 7. They disclosed that, at times, they were hidden in UN shelters—tents established for civilians during the conflict, which were supposed to be safe zones providing food and water.

The militants utilized these UN facilities to house the hostages, knowing that the Israeli army would refrain from attacking these areas, thus ensuring their own security.
