Re: Superyacht Sinks Off Italy
I have one phobia in this life. It’s sinking ships in the ocean. There’s nothing that terrifies me more than the thought of being on some kind of ocean liner and it sinking underneath me with nothing but endless miles of ocean around: |

Re: Superyacht Sinks Off Italy
I tried reading that book a few years back, but I did not like the writing style, so off it went. I have no desire to bake, parch and starve in a life raft. I know it is not realistic, but I would like to be put in open water and have to continuously swim for a ridiculous duration and distance to try to make it back to shore. In my fantasy, I would need to be able to drink the water, so I guess that limits me to a Great Lake wearing a wet suit. |

Re: Superyacht Sinks Off Italy
I was almost going to suggest you take on the English Channel~ I’m a swimmer as well. I swam with Whale Sharks in Mexico a couple years ago. It was quite the workout keeping up with such a large creature. I trained for six months solid before I took that trip… 5000 meters every other day… |

Re: Superyacht Sinks Off Italy
Nice. I crawl an hour a day. I've thought about trying open ocean swimming out beyond the breakers on a calm day, but with my luck I would get nailed by a boat. I once swam across the Neckar River in Germany, playing Frogger with the barge traffic. Probably not one of my smarter adventures. |
