Coast Guard and Navy Rescue 4 Divers Off Cape Fear River
Four missing male divers were rescued 46 miles southeast of Cape Fear River, North Carolina, on Aug. 14, 2023. A Coast Guard Air Station Elizabeth City HC-130 Hercules crew spotted the divers at 12:45 a.m. A Navy ship picked them up, then transferred them to a Coast Guard Station Oak Island 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew.
