Coast Guard Medevacs Hiker After Bridge Fall Near Brookings
A Coast Guard helicopter aircrew medically evacuated a 74-year-old hiker from a creek on Sept. 29, 2024, after he fell from a bridge about 18 miles east of Brookings, Oregon. The aircrew hoisted him into the helicopter and transferred him to emergency medical services at Del Norte County Airport in Crescent City, California.
