Coast Guard Hoists Boater Near Lake Pontchartrain
The Coast Guard hoisted a 59-year-old boater after his vessel capsized on Oct. 28, 2021, near Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana. An aircrew found him a couple miles east of the I-10 bridge, hanging on to the capsized vessel and wearing a life jacket. He was taken to an awaiting ambulance at Lakefront Airport with hypothermia-like symptoms.
