Re: Someone Placed The Scaffolding A Little Too Close
Had an MRI 3 years ago that left me totally lethargic and not giving a shit about anything... found out the scan sucked out my iron will! |

Re: Someone Placed The Scaffolding A Little Too Close
I have had several MRIs to check on a pituitary tumour I have and each time I had to read a massive leaflet on what could and couldn't go into the scanner. Scary to think what has happened in the past so they could learn from their mistakes.

Re: Someone Placed The Scaffolding A Little Too Close
I find MRI's to be excruciatingly painful. doctors say its because I have alot of iron in my blood, but it feels like the part of the body their scanning is burning from the inside out.

Magnetic, that's the key. But if the administrator allowed her to actually undergo the procedure with an obvious belly ring on then they should be fired and charged with half a dozen crimes, its a DAMN serious thing when you undergo an MRI under any circumstance whatsoever you shouldn't have metal on you, but anything magnetic is what they are looking for, so I guess everything went good. People have been killed because of ineptness on part of the administrators and others working around the machine, sadly some of them were children in cases that I've been made aware of.

Holy shit dude that's insane! I had no clue a persons Iron could be so high, is it innate? like your body produced it itself? did it get back to the levels beforehand? It's alright if that's too personal to answer but I'm quite curious about it. Thanks either way.

Re: Someone Placed The Scaffolding A Little Too Close
Yes the body absorbs the iron and stores it in the liver, and it can destroy all your major organs, in my own case, I had 44 pints removed before they could even tell me what my ferritin level was, by that time it was just under 2000, the healthy level is between 30-50...i am in what they call maintenance get a pint of every couple of months if it climbs above 50..one of the easiest ways to tell if you have Haemochromatoses, the actual name of the disease, is you turn orange.. Literally you do go orange.. The fatigue is unbelievable, 16hrs a day and I was still tired.. If you think you might have it, or a friend, get your ferritin levels checked... I needed blood tests, ultra sound, CT scan, and finely a liver biopsy to confirm mine.. If they catch it early enough before to much damage is done, all is well, but the joints don't recover.. Its called the Celtic Disease.. Rife in Ireland, and the states.. I am just glad I don't have to get a pint of weekly now... My veins are fekin invisible lol
