Re: Slow Motion Nascar Crash

It's friggin awesome. I live near Daytona, finally got to go last year when Jeff announced retirement. I did RV lot in July and Daytona this year and have my spot for the night race this year.

It's intense on TV, even more so at the track. The sound is crazy.

The same rule applies to it as other sports - no one cares until you pick someone to care about. For any reason or no reason. I made my husband choose and he picked Jimmie just before his first championship, now he's into it and all our kids are. A couple of my kids picked Kyle Busch for the "M&Ms candy car".

Same with baseball, pick a team, get invested for a month and you'll be hooked because of rivalries, action, wins and losses and blown calls.
i agree,i drove stock cars and sprint cars in the 80s,it was a blast.almost as much fun as entering a structure fire!!!......well was for me anyway.i have a life long friend who works in the engine shop at JGR,and built many of kyles engines when he first moved the JGR.my buddy also built 5 engines that won the indy 500,yes i know its not nascar, but someone had to build em fer thems open wheelers......

Re: Slow Motion Nascar Crash

Someone was able to get a pretty good shot of a few cars crashing at a Nascar race. They slowed the video down, and it turned out to look pretty cool.
They should show the rest of this, the car goes headfirst into the catch fencing, effectively removing the roof and acting like a cheesegrater, literally ground him down to his 6th vertebrae, his head was found in it's helmet, near the pit road.
