Re: Asha Degree Missing From North Carolina in 2000
I used the term "night terrors" as synonymous with "sleep paralysis", or "the old hag" - the sleep disorder associated with the perception of demonic attack, particularly in individuals with a religious background.

Ahhh. Ok. My oldest had the true night terrors. Doc said to leave her be and not wake her as that would ge more scary, confusing and traumatic than letting her go. Never remembered in the AM.

Re: Asha Degree Missing From North Carolina in 2000
I think she was picked up at her home, got bad vibes and escaped the car, and was seen running to the woods to get away from whoever groomed and abducted her. I firmly believe what was found in the shack, the bow and other favorite trinkets of her was planted. When her items were found wrapped up proves she is most likely dead. I look at the church or her school because she left with someone she trusted. |

Re: Asha Degree Missing From North Carolina in 2000
So many questions. Why did dad go check on her at 2:30am? I understand that's when he went to bed. Why was dad up so late? Had Asha not been feeling well before she went to bed? Was she on any medications? I have a 9 & 14 year old, and once I get my spawn to bed I don't dare enter their rooms; in fear of disturbing them and waking them up; unless I know they're sick.. (getting kids to go to sleep is a pain in the butt the first time!) I'm not sure about anyone else, but if I spotted any child wandering around alone, near a highway (or anywhere else) in the night; I'd watch them, and contact local authorities. why would her book bag be double wrapped in trash bags? Were the trash bags checked for DNA, prints, or even attempted to be matched with any bags at her home? Was she wearing the bow that was found, when she went to bed; or was it in the book bag? Did the older brother continue with his day and attend school after parents stated her gone? Every single teeny tiny detail makes a difference.

Unfortunately, she is all but certainly deceased; having likely been murdered within a few hours of her abduction. |
