An An-24 passenger plane crashed in the Amur region. There were 49 people on board

The hot fuselage was found 15 kilometers from Tynda. The wreckage of the downed An-24 is scattered at a distance of half a kilometer. It is impossible to sit down at the place of the plane crash - the rescuers plan to descend from the helicopters on ropes. In this area, there are many hills and a dense forest massif.

The An-24 was unable to land the first time and went to the second round, after which the connection with it was lost. The plane took off after a two-hour delay due to problems. There were 43 passengers on board, including five children, and 6 crew members. Preliminary, all died.

One of the versions of the tragedy is the crew's mistake during the approach to landing in poor visibility.

The last An-24 was produced in 1979, and this particular one in 1976. The airworthiness certificate of the downed aircraft was extended until 2036.

A video appeared that was taken by a passenger of the crashed plane - steam was coming from under the panels, and the fuselage looked unreliable. The girl got out in Blagoveshchensk - at the middle point of the route - and survived.

I’ve been flying on airplanes since I was just a little person under 5. I can remember getting asked “Would you like to meet the pilot?” and got to do just that while we were inflight. Now it’s more like cattle call and the airlines could care fucking less. Oh! You’ve got two bags! You’ll need to shell out $50 bucks to get that extra bag on the plane!! Oh! You want a meal!? You’ll need to credit card a payment of $25 dollars for a shitbox of sort of a meal. Oh! You want TV? Or some peanuts? Or some internet while you travel with us today? Shell it out then. $$$$$

And these poor people got a free death out of the deal.

I’m over it. Won’t care if I ever get on another plane for the rest of my life.

My family always flew at night and often I was the only child still up. I often got to go into the cockpit and sit for a bit (this was the 80s) as well as getting whatever toy they had in the galley. As you say, it would never happen now.

That last video just looks like condensation like when you open your freezer on a humid day. It's no uncommon when the cooling system is turned on and the cabin is really hot and humid.

Applying Occam's Razor, and noting that this time of year the humidity near Blagoveshchensk can approach 100% at times, I would expect that is just normal vapour when hot & humid air enters a cool(er) aircraft cabin.

The girl got out in Blagoveshchensk - at the middle point of the route - and survived.

I hope that means the aircraft actually landed in Blagoveshchensk?!?!
