I thought so until speaking with AA pilot. Many reasons and not unusual for 2 hr delay in air and not diverting. Gave a few examples: Weather, mechanical, company politics...on and on. Apparently, airline pilots find our non-pilot comments funny and say we have no clue of the crap that goes on. Scary.....lol

I read that as a quote from an aviation experts opinion which I am not plus I tend to agree that is observantly strange considering the aircraft burns 2,526kgs of fuel an hour, I'm sure there is an explanation but it is strange.
