Federal Highway Police Helicopter Crash Lands into Brazilian Street
A video has surfaced capturing the dramatic crash of a Federal Highway Police (PRF) helicopter while transporting a victim involved in a truck accident on the Belo Horizonte Ring Road this Monday (8). Additionally, a car's dashcam recorded the entire incident. According to PRF, the helicopter had to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff, miraculously resulting in no injuries. The helicopter crashed onto Avenida Tereza Cristina, causing a complete road closure. PRF commander Aurélio Leal explained that the aircraft experienced a loss of rotation during the incident. |

Don't forget to climb, you're supposed to do that after lift off But, if someone gave you bad gas, or the engine ate something, like a bird, then climb won't happen, just like the clip.  That back window view was great! Thanks! |

The rear rotor stopped spinning after take-off. Wonder if it hit that light pole off camera during the initial rotation.

Naaa. Not close enough to the pole. Must have been a mechanical failure with the rear rotor.
